In The Same Boat

Have you experienced difficult days when you're feeling down and stuck? You can find yourself asking "How can it be that after all these years, therapies, workshops etc. (fill in the blank), it seems that I am still dealing with the same old stuff? Everyone else seems to have figured it all out. They all seem to be smiling and happy!"

Having these thoughts can lead to feeling more separation and isolation, making you want to retreat to the proverbial cave! Well rest assured, we are all in the same boat with our ups, downs, joys and sorrows in life. Whether we are living under a bridge, or the King of Siam, we all are challenged at times with doubt and insecurities.

Some of us may be moving along paths that are like rushing rivers, others may be floating more slowly on a gentle lake. But we are all moving forward at different paces that are perfect for us. Through it all we are never really alone, even though at times it may seem that way. There is inspiration and kindness all around us in the form of other people making their way through the world, in the very same boat. Remember to look around you and reach out for comfort and encouragement during times you are feeling tossed about on stormy seas.

Allow others support be your anchor in the storm,

Sunshine - Friend or Foe?

Celebrate May! All Sunblocks 15% off!

There has been so much controversy lately about the need for sun exposure to help build Vitamin D levels, so notoriously deficient in those of us living in the northeast. And so necessary for helping keep strong bones and preventing other health issues. In the winter you may need a Vitamin D supplement. Ask your doctor to test your levels.

So many of my clients are confused, as I educate that sun exposure plays a huge role in how your skin ages. Contributing to premature wrinkles, brown spots, and redness. Not to mention the growing rate of deadly melanoma.

Here's the deal; You only need about 15 – 20 minutes a day of sun exposure. This should be on your arms or legs, not your face. After that time always apply a non-chemical sunblock that uses Zinc and Titanium Oxide. I carry and recommend Cosmedix natural sunblocks. I love their convenient spray-on formula. Natural sunblocks deflect the sun, but chemical ones absorb the rays, so even though you may not receive a burn, you are acquiring free radical damage. If you are really serious about keeping your complexion youthful, you will also want to sport a wide brimmed hat and enjoy an umbrella at the beach. Think Greta Garbo! Remember, a sunblock will only stop you from burning, but will not prevent damage. Maybe that's why those Twilight vampires look so young!

"I came to see Beth Ann for some energy work. I left my session physically, emotionally and spiritually balanced. My Angel Reading confirmed my thoughts and direction - which was very freeing and motivating. I was so enthusiastic about my positive experience that I invited friends to an Angel Reading Gathering with Beth Ann. Just like me, my friends left uplifted, with clarity and lots of notes to reflect on and ideas to implement. I recommend Beth Ann and her guiding ways. She is warm intuitive and reassuring."
