| Your Inner Sanctuary
During difficult times we can often feel disappointed when we don't receive what we need from the people in our lives. We can often forget to turn to ourselves when we need love and support, looking instead to outside sources.
While receiving this support from our loved ones is invaluable, it is also vital to remember that we carry within ourselves an unlimited source of everything we need.
Not everyone has easy access to this inner haven, but have no doubt that it is always available. It is often necessary to spend time alone in order to find it. Make some time daily, even five minutes will suffice. Close your eyes and breathe deeply, tuning into your inner being. Greet yourself as a trusted and beloved friend. The more time you spend in this space, the more you will understand, love and trust yourself. At the same time taking time to acknowledge the infinite energy of divine love that always surrounds you.
A suggestion is to affirm: I am the source of my own safety and abundance, I always love and support myself, the universe supports me unconditionally. As you say these powerful words, you will feel their truth, and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are the most reliable friend and safest haven you could ever want.
This month, make time to love and celebrate yourself for the unique being you are!

The Seven Deadly Skin Sins
- Not Washing Your Face Before Bed: When you neglect to cleanse in the evening you risk breakouts. Even if you don't wear makeup it's important to cleanse away the oils and dirt from the day.
- Picking At Blemishes: Sometimes it's hard to resist popping a pimple or squeezing a blackhead. But the truth of the matter is that this can lead to permanent discoloration and scarring. So don't! Many of my clients love Lerosett Mineral Clay or Rescue Gel to prohibit nasty blemishes from surfacing or helping to heal them fast.
- Neglecting Your Hands: Your hands are always on display, so moisturize them after every washing, especially in the winter, and to help prevent nasty hangnails. Get in the habit of always using gloves when you wash dishes. Keep them in an easily assessable place and your hands will thank you. It's much harder to try and repair the damage.
- Taking Too-Hot Showers: Really hot water can feel good in colder weather, but can strip the skin of natural lipids which increase dryness.
- Chronic Leg And Arm Scratching: Oftentimes related to #4. So many of my clients claim they don't have time to moisturize after their shower, and live with lizard skin! I use a pump applicator, and find it takes about 30 seconds to treat my whole body. I also switch from a lotion to organic jojoba oil in the winter for extra protection. Hey don't you want the skin on your body to look and feel as soft as your face?
- Hitting The Tanning Bed: Why pay for something that's going to make you look old? For those of you who use them to get a base before a vacation, don't be fooled by the claims, tanning beds can be just as damaging as the sun.
- Leaving on Gym Clothes Post workout: No one likes body breakouts, and leaving sweaty gym clothes on can cause them. Always shower and change as soon as possible. A gentle body exfoliant can also help ward away unwanted visitors.
