Unwinding The Knots
When we become overwhelmed and things are not going as planned, it is common to hold tighter to our goals and try to force the process. We can tie ourselves in knots, feeling tension growing in our shoulders, jaws and back.
We try to get a firmer grip on a situation that feels out of control. But as we create these knots we are blocking the flow of energy. At these times, though it may seem counter-intuitive, our higher selves know it's better to let go.
This may not be as easy as it sounds. After the relief of our first decision to release, if we allow questions about how to get everything done to start again, the knots will be back before we know it. First, try to let go of your idea of what the perfect outcome should be, and allow that the intelligence that guides the universe knows better than we do how everything fits together for the highest good.
When you relax and let life's energy flow through your mind, body and spirit, you will find that you can accomplish more with less effort. You don't have to tie yourself in knots. Instead, you can allow the ribbons of energy to unfurl and gracefully guide you through life's abundant flow.

Summer Skin Myths- Part 2
Myth; Sun exposure will improve acne.
Truth; Yes, sun exposure can hide the appearance of acne for awhile, but will lead to skin damage, pigmentation and drying that signals the skin to ultimately produce more oil.
Myth; Indoor tanning is safe.
Truth; UVA rays found in indoor tanning beds actually lead to deeper more harmful skin damage. You do not have to have a sun burn to create damage to skin cells.
Myth; Wearing makeup with SPF is good enough.
Truth; First of all, you don''t wear makeup all the time, and even if you do, sunblock needs to be applied to your neck and chest if exposed. Don't count on foundation for sun protection. Remember, Melanoma is more than a cosmetic concern, practice safe sun habits.
