Make a Date with Yourself. This Valentine's Day make a date with yourself. Indulge and soothe your senses with our Healing Rose Oil Facial. Available for the month of February, this aromatic experience will help open your heart to inner love and compassion and bring balance to your body and spirit. Bring your sweet self! Skin Tip of the Month.. Increase your exfoliation instead of over-moisturizing. When the heat is on and the air is cold outside, your skin can become depleted of its natural moisture. Loading on extra moisturizer will not always solve the problem of dry skin. If your skin is dry, tight and flaky, it means that you have skin cell build-up on the surface of your skin. So rather than putting on extra cream to re-hydrate dead, dry cells, try increasing your exfoliation with a gentle scrub for your body, I prefer a sugar instead of salt based one for the body as it is less stingy! (see recipe below) This way when your cream goes on, it hydrates the new cells rather than the old, dry ones. Be sure to use a separate one for the face. I recommend reVive AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. Luxurious Home Made Sugar Scrub... Why waste money on expensive body scrubs when you can create a quality product at home with ease?In a bowl; Mix 1 cup sugar with enough skin nourishing olive oil to create the consistency of oatmeal. If desired, add a few drops of essential oil like lavender or sandlewood or whatever you enjoy. Transfer to plastic container with lid. Use this delicious scrub in the shower or bath to emerge with skin as smooth as silk! New-Fashioned Apple and Raisin Slaw..... 1/2 cup light sour cream or yogurt Combine the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring with whisk. Add chopped apple, raisins and coleslaw; toss to combine. Even better the next day! |
