Living Together on Earth

Seeing an image of the planet Earth taken from space inspires awe in many of us, since we can clearly see the connectedness of all who live here. We have created imaginary boundaries, sectioning ourselves into countries and states, forgetting that in reality we are all living together, breathing the same air, drinking the same water, and eating food grown from the same earth.

Any sense of separation we have from one another is truly an illusion. I pray that as we become more aware of the reality of our interdependency, things will shift in a more positive direction, and much of the discord will give way to a more cooperative and loving consciousness.

This is already happening, and as this positive awareness grows, we can join with many other hearts and minds working to live in the spirit of togetherness.

Wishing you a holiday season filled with peace,
Beth Ann

Ask Ms. Skin.

Yes, I know she has been missed, so Ms. Skin is back to answer some of your most pressing skin issues. She also welcomes any of your queries for future newsletters.

Dear Ms. Skin,
It feels great walking outside in the crisp cold air, unfortunately between the chilling cold and central heating, my face is feeling parched and dry. - Flaky Florence

Dear Flaky,
Yes, it's true, you need to adjust your regimen in the colder months to compensate for the seasonal change. For starters, I would smooth a drop of soothing Equalizing Serum over your moisturizer. This luxurious treatment will add instant comfort and long lasting hydration, as well as create a barrier between your skin and the elements. Your skin will look and feel more dewy, and your make up will go on like a dream.

Dear Ms. Skin,
It seems that no matter what I use this time of year, I cannot combat the alligator skin on my legs and arms and rough hands and feet! - Parched Polly

Dear Parched,
For the ultimate in hydration, there is nothing as rich as Lavender Soy Shea Butter. This ultra-rich potion restores the skin and helps heal like none other. The African shea butter used is unrefined, and in its purest form for the best benefits. Two other healing balms everyone loves are Silicone-Glycerine Creme that provides a protective barrier and Pedicura Foot Creme. These all make welcome and useful gifts as well!

An Eye-Opening Innovation..

Until now, sparse, broken, fragile lashes have been among the most difficult conditions to address. Personally, I have tried every mascara in the market to no avail!

New BioLash to the rescue! This unique all natural eyelash enhancer is gentle, safe and non-irritating and will actually condition and strengthen lashes. The synergistic blend of natural ingredients works to nourish lash roots and stimulate hair follicles to improve the length and fullness of lashes. Noticeable results are guaranteed after 4 weeks of use.

Double-Tomato Soup...

There's nothing more comforting than a bowl of tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich on a cold day!

2 Tbs. Olive Oil
1 Onion, chopped
1 clove Garlic, chopped
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
2 cups Carrots, grated
1 tsp. Sugar
2 28 oz. cans Plum Tomatoes packed in oil
1 tsp. Basil
1/4 tsp. Curry
pinch of Cayenne and Nutmeg

  1. Saute onions and carrots until softened.
  2. Add in garlic briefly before adding in all other ingredients.
  3. Cook for about 1 hour on medium heat.
  4. Puree in blender or food processor.
