I highly recommend Organic Apple Cider Vinegar applied with a cotton ball. This takes away the itch immediately, never to return! You need to buy the organic version with the cloudy "mother" at the bottom, as this part contains the healing properties. If you have a sunburn, put a couple of cups in a cool tub and soak, or use diluted with water as compresses. ACV can be found at health food stores, Trader Joe's and in the natural section of Stop & Shop.

Yes, the sun's rays are uplifting to the spirit, but be sure to use the proper protection. Read your labels, and avoid using chemicals like oxybenzone and benzophenone that can cause allergic reactions, as well as being absorbed into the skin creating free radical damage. If you like, you can add some shredded cheese. 2 small heads Romaine Lettuce, cut into bite-size pieces In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, beans, corn, avocados, onion and cilantro. In a small bowl, whisk together the oil, lime juice, cumin and salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle over the salad and toss. Serve with baked tortilla chips if desired. |
