Finding Good in a Bad Day

We all have days when it feels like the world is against us, or that the chaos we are experiencing will never end.

Bad days can only have a long term effect on us if we let them. It is better to ask yourself what you can learn from these kind of days. The state of your day may be an indicator that you need to stay in and hibernate, slow down, or change direction.

Though we may feel discouraged or distressed on our bad days, a bad day can teach us patience and perseverance. It is important to remember that your attitude drives your destiny, one negative experience does not foretell an ongoing cycle of bad luck. Know too, that everyone has bad days. You are not alone, the world is not against you. Tomorrow is a brand new day, greet it with love and watch it unfold into perhaps, a better day!

Make it a Great Day!

Here Comes The Sun

We are all so thrilled to be embracing the sunshine and warmer weather.

Just a gentle reminder to not be caught without your sunscreen (non-chemical, of course) and hat to protect your beautiful skin.

For those of you who tell me that their foundation contains sunscreen, foundation does not cover your neck or chest, that show the first signs of aging.

I carry and recommend Cosmedix natural sunblocks that do not contribute to free radical damage, and are safe for the skin and our environment.

Is Your Diet Giving You Wrinkles?

Wrinkles may be an inevitable part of aging, but that doesn't mean fighting them is useless. Protecting your skin from UV radiation is the most significant thing you can do to prevent wrinkles, sagging, and brown spots. Some people try chemical peels, Botox, dermal fillers or surgery. But those efforts are all done from the outside. What about protecting your skin from the inside?

Studies show that what you eat, or don't eat, has a definite effect on your skin. So although a new diet won't clear away all your wrinkles or halt skin aging, nutrition can make a huge difference not only in how you look, but also how you feel.

One recent study revealed that people whose diets are rich in vegetables, beans, olive oil, nuts, and whole grains are less likely to wrinkle than those who feast on red meat, butter, and sugary foods.

Experts suspect that the antioxidants contained in fruits and vegetables may help keep wrinkles at bay by reducing the amount of damaging free radicals produced by skin cells.

To help achieve a healthy, youthful glow, turn away from the sun and instead turn to carotenoid-rich foods such as cantaloupe, apricots, carrots, sweet potatoes, and other fruits and vegetables that have deep green, yellow, orange, and red hues.

I also recommend Juice Plus+, which is 17 different fruits and vegetables in a capsule to provide extra protection for your health and skin rejuvenation.
