Six years in Stoneham, Beth Ann Fischberg of reVive is a certified esthetician who offers an Acugems facial with a little extra --- a boost of gem stone colors. She explains the procedure as "really treating the whole body systemically." Created by an acupuncturist 20 years earlier, the procedure is without needles, but of electric stimulation through a gemstone. What it does is rejuvenate the face (think Bells Palsy patients with new muscle education). Basically, the treatment will leave you face with a temporary lift.
In fact, when I got home, my husband asked me what I did to my eyes -- yet, I arrived the exact way I left -- without any makeup. But I came back with a lift.
To integrate gems in machine is a Mayan method, says Beth Ann, who knew the treatment without the gemstones was missing something. "It needed a spiritual component," she says.
So she headed to L.A. for a one-day training for Acugems treatments. "Integrating is big," she says.
Beginning with lymphatic drainage, muscle work follows for the deeper treatment that feels like sharp sparks, but doesn't hurt, believe it or not. Beth Ann says energy pathways lead through the whole body. Because of this, an Acugems treatment may very well offer beneficial side effects, such as sleeping better, and a feeling of peacefulness in your life.
The process re-educates muscles with individualized programs from the machine. Beth Ann works with different color slides, depending on skin type, before the micro-current energy comes through and cotton tips touch the skin. Those tips are coated with essential oils she creates herself. The light comes through the gem stones on the tip, behind the cotton swab. And she always starts with tourmaline, a green and pink (male and female) that she says creates healing and balance.
Beth Ann gets her gems from jewelers who make them special for her. And she knows what she wants, as she attended trade school to be a jeweler before she became an esthetician.

What I left with is a bottle of rescue gel for my breakout marks that are taking too long to fade. This product works, for sure, and I highly recommend it.
